"It’s
been a blast getting Greg to fix my, well, what did we
decide it should be called – AWA Fisk Moderne A52. A kiwi
inside an Aussie. Reminded me of those ConTiki bus tours
round I recommend Greg to anyone with a difficult radio problem to overcome…he’s an utter pro. He almost makes me want to find another classic non-performer just so I can get him to fix that, too". (Kevin Milne |
"Greg reluctantly took on on my old RCA theatre amps due to two other respected techies having a crack at them and getting nowhere. Suffice to say Im very pleased I chanced it a third time as they are now both going awesomely. I can't thank you enough" (Ivan Miller)
"Just what I was looking for but feared I wouldn’t find, A tech schooled in the old school, someone who would go the extra mile and who is more of a perfectionist than I. Will be back for more." (Jack Harvey)
"For years we've kept granddads American radio he bought new in WWII. Although it had been badly mutilated over its lifetime Greg bought it back from the dead and its gone from rustic display to a fantastic working piece!. The wood restoration is first rate, undetectable repairs, impeccable finish and the sound has to be heard to be believed. Thank you for the special talents God has blessed you with" (Haegler family)
"I had hit the power button
on my JJ828 (4xKT88s a side, a Soviet tank) in response to a scary
burning smell and I wasn't going to turn it on until I had the green
light from an expert. Watching Greg work, (nice place - an
Aladdin's Cave!) I was particularly impressed by his careful and
methodical approach and clear explanations. Ultimately nothing
was found except a fried moth carcass and the amp was declared fit
and well and taken for a test run. It's been absolutely fine
since and at a very reasonable cost given the time spent, but anyway
what price peace of mind? Thanks Greg." (Henry Carr)
"Greg restored a very
old radio which I had shipped from
"Went well beyond the call of duty resurrecting and beautifully
restoring in and out, the family radiogram that's worth nothing but of great
sentimental value to us. We are well pleased and encourage others to use
his considerable skills too" (Kelly family)
"Wow the amp sounds very good now, well matched to my speakers and has the top end my other amp lacks. Also I can crank it so loud its not funny. The new knobs and rack handles modernises it & Im digging' the led lighting and silent cooling fan additions too. Awesome, cheers!" (Peter C.)
"5-way Kef Transmission Line speakers. I thought that it didn't get
any better than that... until Greg got his hands on them. A few
minutes with a soldering iron and capacitors and tweaking have
really turned them into something else. There are now two people in
the country that I'd trust with my best gear and of those only Greg
knows how to make cabinets look amazing and will invite you in to
see what he's doing and demo once he's finished.
My beautiful speakers now look much better. How about the sound? I
just played a very familiar Grand Prix tune and just about did in my
pants what my mother spent a long time teaching me not to do when I
was a baby. Seriously impressive work. Thanks Greg. You're a
legend!"
(Declan
Bailey.)
"Old Gert is disgorging dulcet tones at my place
again, thank you - JUST GREAT!" (Tulia.M.)
"Dear Greg, your work quality is indeed impeccable
as is my new sound quality, I thought I got someone
else's amp back, I salute you but my neighbours may not"
(Stephen.S.)
"Quite simply divine. Better than any
amplifier I own. Surprised how really good this sounds, fantastic
detail on decay and transients, in fact I can’t say I have ever
heard anything that trumps it including the 12k Musical Fidelity
Trivista tube amp if you can find one". (Steve.C)
